Article 36 of the Law on Energy Efficiency (EE) (O.G. of Montenegro 29/10)
Law on technical requirements for products and conformity assessment (O.G. of Montenegro 53/11
Draft Rulebook on eco-design of energy using products – currently three groups of products covered ( 5 implementing measures transposed):
Non-directional household lamps (Regulation 244/2009/EC and 859/2009/EC )
Fluorescent lamps without integrated ballasts, high intensity discharge lamps (Regulation 245/2009/EC and Regulation 347/2010/EU)
Electric motors (Regulation 640/2009/EC )
ISSUES:
Law on EE harmonized with “old” Directive 2005/32/EC which treated energy-using products,
Transposition of the EU regulations in the national legal acts is demanding,
Amendments of the Law on EE planed for II quart of 2013

5. Eco Design – Implementation Chapter 1: Free Movement of Goods
There is no relevant experience in the implementation of eco-design framework in Montenegro
The issue of market surveillance currently is not regulated, but the plan is the market inspection is responsible body.
Notify conformity assessment bodies
Montenegro doesn’t have production of products covered by the Directive 2009/125/EC; new requirements related only to dealers and distributes of products
