2. You wake up one morning , and what do you see?
Snow on the ground and snow on the trees.
You wake up one morning and what do you hear?
Cardinals chirping and blizzards so clear
You wake up one morning, and what do you smell?
Holly on trees and reindeer with bells.
You wake up one morning and what do you taste?
Hot chocolate and peppermint-yay!
You wake up one morning, and what do you know?
You’ll have a nice day with fun in the snow. M.K.

3. Cookie Baking
Cookies are fun to bake
When the lake is ready to skate.
In Cedar Falls , Iowa it snows like crazy
I might even bake a cake!

4. In Iowa, I stay inside because it is so cold.
I watch Youtube, Netflix, I draw,
play games, and play with
all my toys.

Winter is always fun.

6. Winter in Cedar Falls Iowa is nice,
but sometimes there is too much ice.
Sometimes the roads are slick.
So we get out of school early,
Sometimes the cold gets to the mice.

7. I go outside and see my friends,
I play with them all day in the snow.
In Cedar Falls, it’s cold.
My dog is shivering and so am I!
In our town it snows like rain dripping down all day long.
We try to do tricks, but the snow is too slick.

10. Winter in Iowa is white,
It glitters under the moonlight,
I wake up at 7 AM and hop out of my warm fuzzy bed.
I play in the snow and sled down the hill.
That is, until I get a chill!
I sip hot cocoa inside, by the fire--until I retire,
I’ll go to bed and dream about my happy, happy day! L.B.

11. People go when it starts to snow,
people slide, and people glide.
All the snow hills look round and white-
And we drink hot chocolate into the night.

12. I play on the snow and slide on the ice.
We are catching snow with our mouths
We make snowmen, snowballs and snow angels.
I sled down the hill and it is fun.
Sometimes I ski down the hill.
But I always love going inside later for hot chocolate.
