3 Let’s Listen to the Words of Allah swt

4 O you who have believed, avoid suspicion. Indeed, suspicion is sin
O you who have believed, avoid suspicion. Indeed, suspicion is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.

6 Gheebah Gheebah (backbiting, gossip) means that a person mentions the faults of his/her Muslim brother/sister in their absence, which he/she would not like if heard, when there is no need to mention them.

7 But… What if it’s True?

8 He replied: It is to mention about your brother that which he detests.
Abu Dharr once asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): O Messenger of Allah, what is gheebah? He replied: It is to mention about your brother that which he detests. Abu Dharr said: O Messenger of Allah, what if that which is mentioned of him should actually be in him? He replied: Know that when you mention that which is in him, you have committed his gheebah, and when you mention that which is not in him, then you have slandered him.

9 ”They have eaten."

10 Do we continue? Lose hope? Forget? What’s Next?
What Now? Do we continue? Lose hope? Forget? What’s Next?

11 "O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."

12 Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.” (39:53)

13 Conditions for Repentance
1) Giving up the sin immediately. 2) Regret / Remorse over having committed the sin in the past. 3) Resolve never to return to the sin. 4) If it relates to the rights of another person, then to) Return the rights or property one wrongly took.
