UDP communication with the controller – completed via a web-based interface
Controller connected to a power supply with magnet load (in B118 – not yet in the ring) running 24/7.
Next week Clemens / Stephanie will implement knowledge and command set into an EPICS IOC.
Subsequently set up history buffers and run the controller/power supply from EPICS and monitor long-term controller/power supply performance
6. CPE will provide another controller and ask SSRL to run both to increase message traffic
7. Dave S asked how S3 would deal with UDP issue, in Clemens opinion, UDP command non-acknowledgment and out of sequence messages were non- issues in a dedicated field bus Ethernet environment
