1 young enough not to have forgotten
Fix Resolution Mike Wier Aircraft Owner Hanger Owner Old enough to remember, young enough not to have forgotten

2 Aircraft are High-Maintenance Items
Maintenance = Safety Increase Costs = Decrease Maintenance Decrease Maintenance = Decrease Safety

3 Airport Authority's Policy
To be non-discriminatory to aeronautical services providers. To provide services to all users. To make services available at fair and reasonable prices. (Boca Raton Airport Authority Minimum Standards page 1.)

4 Bias against the little guys
Bureaucracy of badging individuals who make few service call to BCT is oppressive Vetting of FAA licensed personnel is unnecessary Have owners escort them on airport. Most Small Maintenance Providers Have No Insurance

5 Piston Aircraft are Airport Users Too
Light aircraft services are diapering at BCT Common aircraft parts are unavailable Necessary references are not maintained Special tools are not in the shop They employ no one has experience with that type

6 Fair and Reasonable Price
The shops don't want to task an employee to preform a $200 job on a piston aircraft when they are set-up to do $2,000 jobs on jets. Light aircraft maintenance if done at all is priced prohibitively to reserve shop space and time for the jets.

7 Can You Work on My Airplane?
BCT Minimum Standard FBO must provide maintenance Signature – We don't do that, Call Boca Aircraft Maintenance...BAM we don't work on those. Atlantic – We don't do that, Call Reliable Jet...RJ – No Manuals for that aircraft. Airport Authority Policy – Don't meet the standard, suspend the provider

8 Why Make Resolution Needed to Address Unregulated Maintenance on the FBO Ramps.

9 Unregulated Maintenance
All Maintenance Activities Certified Aircraft in the United States is Highly Regulated. Personnel preforming maintenance do so under FAA license. How, When and Who is Regulated

10 On FBO Ramps While a Few Fast, Simple Tasks Might be Accomplished on the Ramp Almost All Maintenance is Completed in a Leased or Owned Hanger

11 Fix This Rule Exempt Aircraft Less Than 5,000 Pounds
No Fees for someone who only works at BCT occasional Aircraft Owners Insurance to be Accepted in lieu Mechanics Own Policy Allow Work to be Completed in Owned or Leased Hanger
