Shall the descriptions of dynamic electronic resources of remote access be included into the national bibliography?
What is the basis of delivering internet resources to national libraries - a stipulation in the Legal Deposit Act, or an agreement with publisher [or both]?
Shall all the internet resources referring to a country be archived? If ''not'', - what selection criteria would be respected?

3. What is bibliographic control of web?
Trust is a good thing, but control is even better
(favourite Russian principle of Juha Hakala).

4. Ways of organizing the bibliographic control of the web resources on metadata level:
To record the web resources applying a library information system (usually MARC format);
To design or to adapt a separate system for the control of digital resources (recording in Dublin Core or some other minimally structured format);
To apply the metadata delivered by publishers;
To make an attempt to extract and generate metadata from the resources automatically;
To apply a combination of all the versions mentioned above considering the differing nature of resources;
To publish the index of the archived and available resources on website or in other similar way;
To pass more or less structured library metadata to some portal or to the search engines like Google, in Latvia – Siets.

5. Where we are in NLL?
At present NLL applies the ways 1, 4 and 7 for the control of the digitally born resources.
We are attempting to implement the 7th way within the project TELL-ME-MORE together with other national libraries.
New tools are elaborated for implementing the 3rd way.

The database of the National analytics contains meta-information on the articles of the newspapers, magazines and journals published in Latvia in 1989 – 2005 (about 1  records)
