Who should apply? If your child was born between: 1st September 2004 and 31st August 2005 He or she will be due to leave primary school next summer and start Year 7 at a high school in September 2017

Final closing date for applications: 31st October 2016 Recommended closing date for applications: Thursday 20th October 2016 APPLY ONLINE Advantages of applying online acknowledgement of received application form Record of user ID and password for future reference Or by the absolute latest, the final statutory deadline is 31st October 2016

1st September – 31st October Paper form: Hambrough Primary School Supplementary information: Cardinal Wiseman (Catholic) High School Twyford Church of England High School Specialist language and Music places William Perkins Church of England High School Additional information: Proof of address Proof of date of birth Residents outside LB Ealing: Apply through your own home council If you complete online – DO NOT complete a paper form as well! Supplementary information is required to assess denominational commitment and these forms are available from the schools or from the council website: Return directly to the school Drayton Manor and William Perkins give priority to those students for whom the school is their nearest school. Out of borough schools – apply on the same application - Go to council’s website for details. Private schools –apply directly to the independent or private school Grammar schools – your child will need to sit the 11+ test. You should have registered with the cshool to take the test. Dob – birther certif / medical card Address – council tax bill / rent book You can scan the ID and attach with online application or send in the post with name/dob/reference number on the top of the form If you DO NOT live in the borough of Ealing you must contact your own home authority Siblings – you must declare if a sibling is already at the school and will be attending when the younger one starts. Exceptional Medical / social circumstances – check if the school to which you are applying gives preference – supply supporting evidence from GP / consultant

6 You should list up to 6 schools in order of preference – find schools in local area or outside eg. Slough, Kingston etc – read admission criteria – arrange a visit – consider other sources of info school prospectus, ofsted report Choose six schools where your chidl has a realistic chance of being offered a place. List them in order of preference. Schools will not know the preference you have expressed for their school and will only prioritise your application according to the admission criteria

8 What happens next? You will be informed of the outcome:
1st March 2016 – online applicants by 1st March – paper applicants have postal letters sent out (within 2 working days) National offer day. If your child qualifies for more than one school you will be offered the school that you placed higher up the preference list. If your child does not qualify for any of the schools you choose you will be offered the first available place at the school nearest to your school address – Ealing residents only

9 What can you do if you are not happy with the school you have been offered?
Register child on the waiting list Speak to High School Admissions: Accept the place given until an alternative is secured Lodge an appeal
