SMART BUILDING WITH INDOOR NAVIGATION SYSTEM -using iot

INTRODUCTION As the Govt of India is looking forward for smart cities in the country. Smart city can only be possible with all things and people in the city become smart. We have decided to bring a revolutionary change in our day-to-day lives . So we have started this by smart building. Now a day’s human tends to lead a pleasant life, this can be achieved by smart technology.

So we come up with an innovative idea to control (switching on/off yet ,later we try to operate A.C n T.V through sensors ) home appliance through wireless signals. IOT (Internet of Things) is fast emerging technology which involves interaction among things through internet without human interference.

IOT MEANS IOT is the network of “things” or physical objects which includes electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity. All these things collect and transfer data between themselves. For digitalizing home appliances such as lighting, heating, security, audio, video etc. IoT in home automation is the best commercial solution these days.

WORKING In order to develop the smart building, first we went for Arduino microcontroller. Using Arduino we have achieved to control a device from a remote area using an application. But in Arduino, we got a problem i.e. we can only control a single device from a remote area. We can’t control multiple devices simultaneously.

Due to this problem we went for another famous microcontroller called Raspberry pi 3 and it is implemented in python by many people. There are some problems while using python so we went for new and effective of writing the code that is Node.js . This Node.js acts as dynamic database i.e real time database.

INDOOR NAVIGATION SYSTEM
Indoor positioning systems (IPS) have become well-known and are a solution that use sensors, magnetic fields, or other signals, sensible by mobile devices, to locate objects inside buildings or specific regions. GPS technology is a mature and efficient positioning technology that has been widely used in mobile phones for outdoor localization and is based on the analysis of satellite signals to provide location information The algorithm used for INS is path planning and following algorithm.

CONCLUSION A novel architecture for flexible home control and monitoring system using smart phones is proposed. The project has vast scope for development. We can operate any device in a building from a remote area. We can know the exact position of a thing/device/person from anywhere.
