Use “de” and possessive adjectives to show ownership and relationships

3. Using de to Show Possession
In Spanish, ’s does not exist. To tell what belongs to someone or to show relationships, use [noun] + de + owner.
Example:
El gemelo de Cristina → Cristina’s twin brother
Los amigos de Juan →
Juan’s friends.

4. Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives (my, yours, etc.) are another way to tell what belongs to someone or to show relationships.

5. Possessive Adjectives
Possessive adjectives are always placed __________________ the nouns they describe.
Since su and sus can mean his, her, its, your, and their, the forms de él/ella, de Ud./Uds., de ellos/ellas may be used for clarity.
