1 Who: Any one who is interested in hearing about the success of the Nianjema Secondary School in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. AND Prospective female runners who are interested in participating in the Winter Maintenance Program beginning Tuesday, November 18th – February 25th What: Ms. Daphne Sloan, Executive Director, of Nianjema Secondary School in Bagamoyo, Tanzania will hold a discussion regarding the school’s successes and how you can help. Nianjema is in its eighth year with over 300 students and 23 teachers.  In its first year, there were 90 students and 8 teachers.  The school is supported by the U.S.-based non-profit organization, Tanzania Education Fund. Al Logie, track coach of the Washington RunHers club, will discuss the RunHer’s Winter Maintenance program. When: Sunday, November 16, 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Where: Cameron Perks, 4911 Brenman Park Drive, Alexandria VA Also: If you have any old running shoes or race t-shirts you wish to donate to the school, please bring them on Sunday!
