1 US History - Dec. 11 Pick up a quiz, you may use your chart to complete. You have 15 minutes to complete and turn in. If you were absent Friday, please get a New Deal chart from Mrs. V.

2 Critics of the New Deal - Roosevelt and the Supreme Court
The Supreme Court ruled against the National Recovery Act ( which regulated business) and the Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) Roosevelt did not like this and proposed a plan

3 Court Packing Plan Roosevelt proposed to add up to six new justices for every justice over 70

4 The public hated the idea and
felt the Roosevelt was trying to take more power for the Executive branch

5 Arguments for and against the Court Packing Plan
Visit 8 of the stations around in the open area. You must have 4 more reasons to support his court plan and 4 more against. When you are through you will write a paragraph either in support or against FDR’s court plan. You must give at least 3 reasons.
