My Philosophy “I am here to empower students and teach life skills that will help build character and self-esteem. I want to inspire my students and allow them to make decisions on his/her own. I value each student’s different styles of learning and will be implementing diverse strategies to fulfill their individual needs.”

LOGISTICS… Tardy bell rings at 8:20 Monday dismissal at 1:30
Tuesday-Friday dismissal at 2:50 Students are required to make up all work missed during absences. STUDENTS are in charge of finding out missed work.

Aeries: Please check Aeries for student grades and assignments.
Give your child the account information to hold them accountable for their work. Student Liaison: Rose will gladly help you with getting your Aeries user ID and password. *** me if you see issues or have concerns regarding grades.

DIGITS New math program, piloted Standards are compliant to common core All computer based students have access classwork will be paper/project based. Mall field trip (April) – calculate % please see me personally if there will be an issue with computer access for students at home.

Grading: Late assignments are NOT accepted Homework/Classwork = 60%

DICIPLINE/CONSEQUENCES
1ST INFRACTION – Verbal warning 2nd INFRACTION- Name on board 3rd INFRACTION- 15 Min. detention after school 4th INFRACTION- 30 Min. detention after school and teacher referral. (Parent will be contacted). 5th INFRACTION- Administrative Referral – 1 hour detention after school with consequences from administration and/or teacher. *** Please note*** Students may receive a teacher or administrative referral inevitably depending on the infraction. Behaviors such as fighting, cursing, or horseplay can/will lead to more severe consequences.

Free/Reduced Lunch Application
Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families that qualify. If your family chooses to apply please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Form." The forms can be obtained and returned (completed) to any school office or online. You will be notified by mail of your child's status. Until notification you must provide your child with a lunch or lunch money. Every completed form=$10.00 for our classroom! Only complete one application per family. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.
