1. We created a checklist inside Degreeworks so students and advisors could know where a student was in the graduation application approval process

2. EOU’s Grad App Checklist
We use the graduation application feature in SSB for students to apply
A student fills out the application in SSB and submits
An SO (sought) record is created with an REC status in Banner SHADEGR
The checklist shows up on a students audit after the nightly RAD30 run.
or if we re-fresh the audit the day the application is submitted in SSB.

3. SHADEGR The SO code triggers the checklist to show up in Degreeworks.
Custom tables in Surecode
The REC code is what enables the first checkbox to be marked in the checklist.

4. Process steps….
We use our reporting software (FAST) to pull a list of all students who have an SO code in SHADEGR, this is a list of all the newly submitted graduation applications.
The students information is reviewed and the code of US or PS is added to the students SHADEGR form.
US is for Undergraduate sought
PS is for Post-bacc students who are seeking an additional undergraduate degree
We change the US/PS code so we know the difference between students, SO/US/PS.

6. What each step looks like
Step 1: REC code
(grad app has been received)

7. Step 2: DAV code
(grad app sent to advisor)

8. Step 3: DDS code
(sent to discipline chair for program review)

9. Step 4: DDN code
(sent to college dean for audit review)

10. Step 5: DAA code
(sent to college dean for audit review)

11. I added a code that alerts students to contact our graduation specialist
If the status code is left blank this is what the student will see.
