4 HELP! How do you play Bingo? There are a variety of ways to play Bingo, and the rules vary depending on where you are. In the US, for example, a game of Bingo uses 75 balls, while the UK version uses 90. This PowerPoint Bingo caller is designed to accommodate many different variations and rules. Therefore no rules are included with the file. If you want to learn more about the rules, the internet can be a good place to start. Websites like wikiHow.com and eHow.com often include good step-by-step instruction articles. From the home menu, you can choose to include 75, 80 or 90 balls, or select your own custom amount of balls to include by clicking on Other. In the American version of the game, the balls often have the letters B-I-N-G-O printed above the numbers. This caller lets you select that option. When you choose the 75 ball on the main page, you will be able to choose whether you want the letters to appear on the balls or not. For Bingo cards, you can purchase pre-printed cards for a relatively cheap price. There are also a number of free options available online. Print-Bingo.com offers plenty of options for printing cards that allow you to customize the design depending on which variety of the game you are playing. I click on a ball but nothing happens. This probably means that you have not enabled macros. This file needs macros in order to function. Enable Content (and Enable Editing) When you opened the file, you might have seen a yellow banner at the top of the page asking you to “Enable content”. If you did not click the button to enable content, simply close the file and re-open it. This time click “Enable Content”, and when you run the file in show mode everything should work as expected. If you have downloaded this file from the internet, you might also see another banner that asks you to “Enable Editing”. Make sure you click on this button as well. Trust Center If you did not see the “Enable Content” banner, it probably means that your Microsoft Office settings are set to disable all macros without notification. You will first need to change the setting to allow macros to run. You can read how to do this by clicking on the following links (internet connection required): Office 2007 Office 2010 or 2013 About This PowerPoint bingo caller was created by David Harbinson. Starting the file To begin, just start the file the same way you would start a regular PowerPoint presentation. Either click on “Slide show” and choose “From beginning” or you can press the F5 button on your keyboard. Moving around To navigate the file, you will need to use the mouse and click on the buttons on each slide. Using the arrow keys on the keyboard will not work, and using the mouse to click on the background will not advance the slides. To use the keyboard, you can use the TAB key to cycle through the buttons on the slide, and the ENTER key to press a selected button. Selecting the number of balls To select a number of balls to include in the game, you can choose one of the standard amounts (75, 80 or 90) by clicking on the appropriate ball on the start page. To choose a different number of balls, click on the Other ball, and enter an amount between 1 and 99. When you select the 75 ball, you will have the option of including the letters B-I-N-G-O above the numbers on each ball. Choose YES if you want the letters to appear or NO for numbers only. Choosing the next ball To bring up the next ball, from the tracker slide, click on the ball in the top right corner. Resetting the game To reset the game and start over, just click on the HOME button. This will reset all of the balls that have been chosen and take you back to the start page.
