3. UT Surplus Overview
All items purchased with state funds must be sent to Surplus Properties for removal from inventory. (Furniture, vehicles, equipment, office supplies, athletics equipment and gear, building materials, etc.)
First, attempt to re-use by making items available to university community, ISD and other educational orgs., and Assistance Orgs.
Second, sell items via on-line auctions or through retail events.
Lastly items are either recycled or landfilled.
