1. It is essential for all students to have a safe, structured learning environment. Your child will be encouraged to take responsibility and create solutions to conflicts.
They will learn how to
voice their feelings and apologize! Making good choices is important but mistakes will occur. When a student gets one warning they meet with me to discuss what they did and an alternate choice.
After two warnings they will complete a short student form telling what happened. After the
third warning a parent contact will be made. Repeated disruptive behaviors will result discipline referral to the principal.
The following supplies will be shared with the class. Please do not label!
12 Ticonderoga sharpened pencils
2 gluesticks
24 crayon pack
Blunt scissors
cap erasers
2 see through binder pouches
Boys-Paper towels
Girls- Kleenexes
Please send and label the following items:
Clear or Mesh backpack
lunch box (if sending lunch or snacks)
1 MEAD primary composition book- or journal-Walmart
1 in. Clearview binder any color $
Dear families,
Welcome to the new school year! I am so excited to have your child in my class. Second grade is an exciting time in your child’s life; they will be growing as mathematicians, readers and writers! I believe that we are each necessary pieces in the puzzle that helps your child progress academically and socially.

Please join PTA- this goes directly back to our school.
BE ON TIME-We need every minute.
Homework will start the 2nd week of school.
All homework is to be stapled together and returned on Friday. Your child is required to read 20 minutes every day. A reading log will be in the Student Binder with directions attached.
Homework will be graded for accuracy, neatness, and completion. Encourage your child to try their best! Coins are earned for homework and attendance. :)
