2 Summary Create a Fundraising event for the Charity “Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention”, A non-profit organization that helps low- income women with cancer in Cali, Colombia.

3 Roles & Responsibilities
Patrick McGregor – Public Relations Manager Collect historic and legal data about fundraisers. Silent Auction: contacts, donations, estimating, etc. Catalina Londono – Project Manager Project Plan Event coordinator Marketing

4 The event will be hold in June 28/2013
Project Scope Run a fundraiser event that includes food, music, and a silent auction in Minneapolis with the purpose of raise $2,500 for the Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention non-profit. The event will be hold in June 28/2013 Major Constraints Number of volunteers. Cost of the event. Number of Silent Auction Donations. Number of attendees. Major Assumptions We will have the volunteers necessary for the event. At least 75% of the target value of the events items will be donated. The bands contacted will play for free. Attendance will be close to 100 people Exclusions The ticket price does not include any kind of drinks apart of the glass of wine with the dinner and water. Gaining tax exempt status (taken care of by Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention) Sending the money to Columbia (taken care of by Partners for Cancer Care and Prevention)

10 Top Risks & Issues Issues Risks
Walt Disney corporation requires 12 weeks advance notice of request. Mall of America requires 12 weeks advanced notice of request Risks If: There is poor attendance. Then: Budgeted for 75% turn out to meet goal. If there are: Insufficient Silent Auction Donors Then: Get more donors (budgeted for 75% of what we needed). If: Partners for Cancer care will not partner with us. Then: Find another organization that will, or entirely redesign plan If we cannot raise the full $2,500. Then: Send what we do get. Corrective action Remove from silent auction donors list and recalculate expected profit from auction

11 Lessons Learned If doing a silent auction again put date out at least 14 weeks in order to get the maximum amount of donors. (Research more before setting a date) Networking is very important when trying to get donations. Break down the relationships everything has with each other before diving in.
