ACT Aspire: ACT Aspire maps student progress from grades three through high school, and is connected to the scoring system of the ACT ® test.

ACT Aspire Overview The ACT Aspire system offers two-year projections of student growth that helps create the best educational experience for every student. A standards-based set of assessments: Summative assessments linked to ACT College Readiness Benchmarks and other standards Interim assessments provide fast, convenient, and accurate measures of progress throughout the year Classroom assessments are a quick check of student progress and provide flexible implementation Additional measures provide a holistic view of each student The ACT Aspire system leads up to students’ experience taking the ACT test for college admissions

Summative Periodic: Interim Periodic: Classroom
Overview: 1 assessment in each grade and content area for grades 3–10 in English, math, reading, science, and writing Format: Paper or online, selected- response, constructed response, and technology enhanced items Grades: 3–10 Duration: 30–75 minutes each depending on grade and subject Available Feedback: Online reporting (paper available for a fee) Overview: 4 assessments in each grade and content area for grades 3–10 in English, math, reading, and science Format: Online, multiple- choice Grades: 3–10 Duration: 20–48 items; 45 minutes or less Available Feedback: Immediate, online analysis and reporting Overview: 10 assessments in each grade and content area for grades 3–8 in English, math, reading, and science Format: Online, multiple- choice Grades: 3–8 Duration: 15–20 minutes Available Feedback: Immediate, online analysis and reporting Configuration: Each 5 item quiz is mapped to 1 or 2 Standards Aspire is a comprehensive system with 2 major components (Summative and Periodic which includes Interim and Classroom assessments) that may be used independently or together. The Summative assessment is an annual exam that: Provides longitudinal data to track student growth from year to year Determines student college and career readiness with scores that predict ACT test scores and which benchmarks are being met Provides data with which to evaluate curriculum Interim and Classroom assessments are short-term, highly revealing assessments designed to produce snapshots of each learner’s achievement throughout the academic year. They are ideal for identifying where students are on pace for success on the summative assessment and where they may require re-teaching. Reports provide: Academic performance, linked to readiness benchmarks Predicted growth paths Predicted scores Suggested interventions

ACT Aspire College Readiness Indicators The ACT Readiness Benchmarks for ACT Aspire are linked to the ACT College Readiness Benchmarks. Students at or above the benchmark are on target to meet the corresponding benchmark in grade 11. ACT Aspire Summative Report Insights
Student Report—scores and growth Shows information about individual subject scores, predicted ACT score, past performance in previous grade levels, and projected student growth. Student Report—detailed results Shows where a student who has met the ACT Readiness Benchmark would typically perform compared to the student’s performance. Aspire allows you to track a student's learning progress over the year and then from year to year. This can be used to map the student’s progress early on and keep them on track.

ACT Aspire Summative Report Insights
Supplemental scores Supplemental scores show a student’s national percentile rank, ELA and STEM scores, progress with text complexity, and progress toward career readiness.

ACT Aspire Interim & Classroom Reports Insights
Student Interim Results This score shows the percent and number of points earned out of the total number of points possible on both the subject test and skills tested within each subject. ACT Aspire Interim & Classroom Reports Insights Student Classroom results This score shows the percent and number of points earned out of the total number of points possible on the assessment. It also shows which standards were tested and the students selected and correct answer for each item.

The Progress toward Career Readiness indicator uses student ACT Aspire Composite Scores to project a future ACT National Career Readiness Certificate™ (ACT NCRC®) achievement level.
