3 Your love has made me dance.
You have to appear often at the door of your beloved and you must dance if you want to make your beloved a friend. - Sufi mysticism

5 Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty.“ (Gospel of Thomas, 3)

What can I do, oh Muslims? I do not know myself. I am neither Christian, nor Jew, ... nor Muslim. Not from the East, neither from the West. [...] Not from this world nor from the next; [...] my location is without a place, my trace without a trace. Neither body nor soul: everything is the life of my beloved. - Rumi

8 The Sufi Al-Halladsch was executed in 922, because in an ecstatic moment he said:

10 I want to pour water into hell and set fire to Paradise, so that no one will any longer worship God out of fear of hell or out of hope for paradise, but worship God only because of God's eternal beauty. - Rabi’ a von Basra
