Stopped when governor’s wife was accused

12. PEQUOT
WAR

13. Pequot War Pequot and Puritan relations were uneasy.
Both groups wanted control of the fur trade
Puritans accused Pequot of killing an English trader
Puritans attacked Pequots.
Pequots raided Puritan village
Puritans burned a Pequot village of mostly women and children.
