1 Who Are We? Paddle Round The Pier is a weekend full of fun on Brighton & Hove beach. With over 50,000 visitors, people travel far and wide to participate in our activities or simply come and enjoy the atmosphere of the Paddle Village where there are awesome exhibitions, some retail therapy and entertainment on 3 stages. Together with promoting participation in healthy recreation and providing education in water safety, we exist to raise money for good causes whilst encouraging people to have a great time doing it. After 21 successful years of spreading a little aloha-spirit and raising over £300,000 for charity, ‘Paddle’ is delighted to announce that we have been granted charity status (charity No ). It is our wish that we continue in the same spirit in which this incredible organisation was started...to have fun! From our humble beginnings in 1996, ‘Paddle’ has evolved and grown in to the largest beach festival in Europe, making this a firm fixture in the Brighton & Hove city events calendar. 2 Event Partnerships Putting on such a large activities based event is dependent on so many people, not least of With our seas and coastlines under constant threat from misuse by man, waste and pollution, we work closely with our partners to reduce the waste and encourage sustainability throughout the festival. which are our partners and sponsors whose passion for the cause and funding are fundamental to the success of Paddle Round The Pier. Working with them has meant that this event constantly delivers an amazing and safe experience for everyone. Charity No
