Procedures that must be followed to effectively use licensed software. Saves organization time, expense, and agony Enables the organization to benefit from tested cross departmental processes.

Because it may be different it may be disruptive to employees

Commodity and ERP According to Dictionary.com, Commidity is an article of trade or commerce, something of use or value, or a quantity of goods Enterprise resource planning systems track customers, process orders, manage inventory, pay employees, and provide general ledger, payable, receivables, and other accounting functions.

ORDER (OrderNumber, OrderDate, SalesPersonName, Amount, CustNum) PAYMENT (OrderNumber, PaymentDate, PaymentAmount)

Sales activities would obtain process orders, manage inventory, payable accounts, and receivable accounts The information obtained would be an advantage to a company because of inventory, payable accounts, and receivable accounts information
