Question 5 What is a food chain?
Which organism shown below is an herbivore? Which organism(s) shown below is a carnivore? Are any of these organisms omnivores? Why or why not? Build a food chain. Write down the names of the organisms in the proper order & label each one as a producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer, or tertiary consumer.

Question 6 How is a food web different from a food chain?
Draw a diagram of a food web that includes 1 producer, 2 primary consumers, 2 secondary consumers, and 2 decomposers. Label your drawings so I know what they are!

Question 7 Construct a food web (no drawings necessary) with yourself at the center. Select foods that you enjoy eating and trace their energy back through the web (ex: skittles are mostly sugar which came from a plant). Try to make as many connections as possible. Hint: If you include animal products, don’t forget about to include what the animal ate.
