2. Idea 1: Video on the KPOP training system
I will film a video piece about how Korean stars have to go through years of training to become an idol. This video will roughly 5 minutes.
In this video I will talk about what they have to do during their trainee days and how some entertainment company's mistreat the groups they manage. I will put up images on the screen during the video of before and after debut to show how high standards are to be a Korean idol.
Examples of what I can talk about:
Chinese members leaving Korean group due to being mistreated
The musicians rules
Plastic surgery and weight loss
Auditions they go through
Competitions (example produce 101)

4. Idea 2: Magazine article on travelling
I will create a magazine article which will be roughly 2,000 words about travelling. In this article I can write about the benefits and problems on travelling, whether its best to travel while you’re young or older and the best places to visit in the summer. Once I have finished writing the article I can then put it into a double page spread where I will insert images of places to travel. The only problem with inserting picture is that I don’t have many pictures of my own so I will have to use pictures from the internet which could lower my grade because they are not my own pictures.

6. Idea 3: Video about Kpop and an article about Kpop
I will create a video using the TV studio about the Korean music industry and then get some Kpop fans to interview. I will ask them questions such as:
Why do you like Kpop?
Why do you think Kpop is getting more popular in western countries?
In my video I will talk briefly about the training system, the struggles international fans have, I will do a survey beforehand asking between 10 and 20 kpop fans who their favourite artists are so I can talk about who the most popular groups and then why it is becoming popular outside of Asia.
Also in my video I will put footage of the most popular groups music videos in and also images of Korean idols before and after debut. However, because I can not get any original footage or images from concerts or meetings this due to be not being in Korea this may lower my grade.
I will also write an article to support my video because where I don’t have any access to Korean musicians the video alone wont be enough to get me a good grade. The article will be just about Kpop. I will write things such as:
About the training system
About it getting bigger in western countries
What’s new in the Kpop industry? The news of the industry.
I think writing about this will help boost my grade because it shows the exam board that I know more than just film and that I have a variety of skills. Whereas if I just do a video it will make my overall project weak because I'm only showing one set of skills.

I will be using a variety of skills as I will be using more than one medium.
It’s a subject I am passionate about.

8. Survey
I asked a 11 people which project idea they think will be best. I did this because I needed some help on which idea will be best for my FMP. Below are the results:
Idea 1: 2 people said this was the best idea.
Idea 2: 4 people said this was the best idea.
Idea 3: 5 people said this was the best idea.

9. Finalisation: which idea I will choose for my FMP
I am going to be using idea 3 for my FMP because it’s the most convenient due to it having the most strengths and least weaknesses.
Ways I will research:
I will do VoxPops (or surveys) on my friends who listen to Kpop and ask them questions about why they like kpop and why they think its getting bigger in western countries. This will help me with project because I can use this information in my magazine article and this way I’m not just using the internet for my research.
I will look at different magazine articles to see how they are written so I can see what techniques to use for my magazine article. This will help me because this is Primary research so its not just me using secondary research.
I will look at different videos on YouTube which are similar to my idea because then I can get ideas on angles and format of the video.
