A tool San Diego City College uses to store information to document our commitment to incremental improvement in courses, programs, services, and administrative areas.

Why is this important? We should always be improving how we teach and serve our students. Documenting continuous improvement is requirement for college accreditation dezzen.com

Administrative Outcomes – measure outcomes related to student services, campus programs, or administrative services/projects

simply put… Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) clearly state the expected knowledge, skills, attitudes, competencies, and habits of mind that students are expected to acquire at an institution of higher education. ~ National Institute of Learning Outcomes Assessment Administrative Outcomes (AOs) focus on improving processes and systems to better serve our students.

Course SLOs Must Be in Every Syllabus
Use the SLOs listed in Taskstream Go to Taskstream.com to find them, ask your Liaison, or contact Aaron Select/create graded activities that you will use to assess student learning

What’s an outcome? Outcomes are written statements or goals that provide focus for measuring and improving student and institutional success. Example Course Student Learning Outcome (CSLO) Marketing Principles – MARK 100 Conceptualize, budget and draft marketing strategies for product planning and development, pricing, distribution, and promotion of a business.

Every Course and Program is Evaluated and Reported Once in an Academic Year
Academic Year = summer, fall, intercession, spring Check Taskstream to see if the courses you teach or programs you are part of have been reported this academic year.
