25 Polycom EagleEye Digital Extender
Polycom branded adaptor will allow EagleEye IV (4x & 12x) to connect via HDCI Adaptor boosts signal allowing camera to be extended over CAT 6a to lengths up to 100m / 330 ft (1080p), cat 5e for shorter runs to be accepted Loops limited, see installation guides Solid conductor cable, not stranded/patch cord Flexibility for integrators Ease of ordering for customers Power cord ordered separately or provided by customer Based on HDBaseT technology Additional information on HD BaseT Cat 6a up to 100m Not to scale

26 EagleEye Digital Extender
Unit is bundled with a power supply. The same one used on the EagleEye cameras. It is installed at the codec side and provides camera power over the Cat 5e/6a cable. Tested with EagleEye Producer, and it works Orderable SKU, Codec unit: Camera unit: PS:

27 Cable detail for EagleEye Digital Extender
Polycom strongly recommend customer to use high quality Shielded, solid conductor CAT6A variety (F/UTP) cable or a qualified HDBaseT cable( for optimal performance. Use the shortest patch cable that is reasonable – don’t use a 5 meter when you only need a 1 or 2 meter. This minimizes the amount of extra wire to dress properly On excess cable – do not coil it up or bowtie it. Let it drape and/or run straight and make gentle bends when appropriate Minimize coupling to other cables (even itself). Want to avoid laying it next to AC cords, other Ethernet Cords, HDMI, etc. (This is where shielded CAT6A could be used without this being an issue). Avoid using zip ties to bundle or secure the cable in anyway – especially CAT 6A. Use Velcro ties when necessary. Indicate that solid wire is preferred for any distance beyond 10 meters (that is total distance) Stranded wire (except for short patch cables) must be avoided. Even for patch cables, solid wire would be better.

28 DBA (Digital Breakout Adapter)
Camera Side Codec Side Camera side is bundled with a power supply. The same one used on the EagleEye cameras. Tested with EagleEye Producer, and it works Orderable SKU, camera: xxx Orderable SKU, codec: Power Supply: Order mini-HDCI cables and power cord separately.

35 EagleEye Producer mounting
Secures the EagleEye Producer to the Universal Camera mounting bracket for wall, tripod or monitor mounting The EagleEye Producer used the RealPresence Group Series 3x0 / 500 chassis and therefore has the same pattern. The EagleEye camera sits on top of it with alignment pins, part of EagleEye Producer kit. , used with EagleEye IV mounting solutions like the universal mounting bracket, , ordered separately Kit includes 2 of the brackets, 6 screws and directions Orderable SKU:

36 EagleEye Producer with U bracket
This is a recommendation for customers who want to mount the codec using the U bracket ( ) with an EagleEye Producer. So starting from the bottom: Universal Camera Mount ( ) Modified U bracket with the Codec mounted ( ) EagleEye Producer, using the added holes in U-bracket EagleEye IV camera 1) Mount the producer first on top of the bracket 2) Mount the RealPresence Group Series codec ‘in’ the bracket 3) Mount the assembly on the Universal Camera mounting bracket. recommend wall mounting only as the weight of the combination is heavy and would not be stable when mounted on a display. Mount by setting the EagleEye IV camera per the directions with the EagleEye Producer, use the pegs and set on top of the EagleEye Producer. Recommend the use of a short mini-HDCI to HDCI for the connection between the EagleEye Producer HDCI dongle and the Codec (457mm) or (300mm)

37 RealPresence Group 300/500 mounting hardware
: Mounting bracket for RealPresence Group 300 & 500. Allows EagleEye camera and codec to be mounted together. Recommends use of Universal mounting kit OR mounting bracket for wall/display mounting

38 Mounting bracket for RealPresence Group 300/310 & 500
Known as the ‘U bracket’, ‘bunk- bed’ or ‘sandwich’ mount Used with EagleEye IV mounting solutions like the universal mounting bracket, , ordered separately Updated Q3’2017 to include holes for ‘double stacking’ the EagleEye Producer and the RealPresence Group Series codec Other suggestion: This was not intended for this application but this could be used to mount a codec on a wall behind a display. Secure the U bracket to the wall. Make sure the screws used are not above the surface of the bracket. Mount and secure the codec in the U bracket. It would be best to mount it vertically on the left side of the monitor, this allows access to the power button and also optimizes the airflow (this would provide bottom to top air flow). Flow the environmental specifications that are part of the codec datasheet. Stress relief the cables when mounting them. Be aware there are shorter HDCI to mini-HDCI cables that maybe better suited to this application, they can be ordered as a separate item. A 3m cable ships with the codec bundle and that is a lot of cable to manage behind a display. Example with the universal camera mounting shelf for wall mounting.
