From 1/4/15, all practices (not optional) to establish & maintain PPG
Must engage with PPG throughout frequency, manner agreed with PPG
Practices must make reasonable efforts during each year for PPGs to be representative of practice population
Practices with PRG/PPGs already set up do not need to create a new PPG, just review whether it remains representative of the practice population
The practice should develop its PPG in the most appropriate way – this may be virtual, face to face, or a combination of the two

3. Recruiting to PPG Advertising in the practice premises
Advertising in the practice leaflet
Inviting patients at reception / end of consultation
Look at other ways to engage people through events, developing patient champions, surveys, contact lists

CCG look for: engagement process, feedback and changes as a result, annual review of membership, formally constituted with roles, responsibilities defined, meeting dates, distribution of minutes
