In journal-take notes on appositive rules and its rhetorical and stylistic strategy in writing (pages ). Next, discuss with a partner exercise 1. Next, complete 4 questions of your choice from Exercise 3 in your journal. Next, discuss 5 questions from Exercise 4 and record the appositive and its effect in your journal for those 5. Review page 169 for help in explaining the effect. On a separate sheet of paper to turn in, with a partner, write a 100ish word freewrite incorporating the grammar rules we’ve reviewed so far this semester: parallel structure, simple sentences for emphasis, and appositives.
