Ephesians 6:1-4 “Children, obey your parents, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother.’ This is the first commandment with a promise, ‘that it may go well with you and that you may have a long life on earth.’ Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up with the training and instruction of the Lord.”

Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
1. Establish and keep a schedule: Eating & Sleeping 1 Kings 19 Elijah himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree; and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, "It is enough; now, O LORD, take my life...” He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, there was an angel touching him, and he said to him, "Arise, eat.” Then he looked and behold, there was at his head a bread cake baked on hot stones, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank and lay down again.… Early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.

Communicate with the School…often!
2. Communicate with the School…often! MT 18:15 If your brother sins against you, go and confront him privately. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over. But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’… Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

3. Communicate with your child…even more often! Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother. Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

4. Read to kids, with kids, & review homework. Proverbs 1:8-9
Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and forsake not your mother's teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck. Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. 2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

5. Family First Ecclesiastes 12:12
My son, beware of anything beyond these. Of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Exodus 20:8-10 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
