1 The Invention of Hugo Cabret
By Jonathon Koseoglu

2 The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
Hugo Cabret is a young boy who lives in Paris during the 1930’s. Hugo is an orphaned child who lives in a train station. He went to live with his uncle in the train station after his father passed away. Hugo was put in charge of running all the clocks in the train station(his uncle’s job) when his uncle mysteriously vanished. Hugo is now stuck in an old train station fighting to not go to the orphanage as well as trying to uncover the secret to his father’s robot.

3 Science of Mechanics and Robotics
A mechanical scientist is a person who repairs and maintains machinery. Mechanics are very helpful as they have many useful skills to work with machines. Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots. Robots are used for many things that benefit the society. Robots have made humans lives a lot more easy and we have been able to develop many more new things thanks to robots. Robots help with car production, space exploration, surgery, commercial agriculture and much more.

4 What I learned about the science
I learned how much robots have an impact in society How useful mechanics are and how much harder life would be without them The technological advances of mechanics and robots And just plain how cool working with robots are.

5 Mechanics/Robotics related to Biology
Both machines and robots need the proper things to work to their full capability. Cells also need the correct things to work as well proper nutrients and if you think about it a cell is a lot like a machine. It has a certain function to do and it needs the correct parts to accomplish this task.

6 Book Review I love this book. It is one of my favorite books. I think this is because I love Hugo’s character, having nothing, fighting for his life and he pulled through for his father to discover the secret of the automaton. I also love the storyline and the mix of pictures into the story. I think many people would like this story and anyone could enjoy reading this amazing story.
