Explain the similarities and differences in writing I will compare and contrast a firsthand and secondhand account of the same event. Skill – You Do The firsthand and secondhand accounts are similar, because both accounts explain that Wayne Brown went to a swamp to videotape alligators. The accounts are different, however, because the firsthand account focuses more on his personal experience of what happened when he went to videotape the alligators. The firsthand account shows that when he encountered the alligator, he seemed scared.
