3 Rule 2 Capitalize brand names, but not the nouns following them
Examples: Captain Crunch cereal Bud’s Best cookies

4 Rule 3 Capitalize all important words in names of historical events, periods, and documents Examples: War of 1812 Medieval Age Constitution

5 Rule 4 Capitalize days of week, months, and holidays.
Do not capitalize seasons Example spring

6 Rule 5 Capitalize titles of literary works.
Only capitalize important words, not conjunctions or prepositions…unless these are the first or last words of the title Examples: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

7 Rule 6 Capitalize names of ethnic groups, nationalities, and languages
Examples: Mexican American English
