What is Pop Art? Pop Art is a 20th century art movement that used images and techniques of consumerism and popular culture. Pop art developed in the late 1950's and went into the sixties and early seventies. Pop Art is short for Popular Art.

Where did it occur? Pop Art developed primarily in the United States and Britain.

Characteristics Pop art can be any every day item that is drawn in a colorful way. It is inspired by comic strips, advertising, and popular entertainment.
