Footwork Poise – Ready Position Before, Not As – No Timing
Normal – Reset Feet Trouble Off the net – accurate or bumpset Backward – turn & go vs. back pedal

At The Net and more Ready Position is with back to & near net), feet get to BEHIND ball, face left front & set. Hands & ball: Touch points = finger pads Drinking the jug of milk – Thumbs laid back, elbows out, hands above forehead Hand position Ball “push ups” on knees “Wrist” ball into floor (from feet) Self-toss and set high to partner from knees (super woman) Set self, set partner (low to high [legs]) Toss high to self, set to partner (partner catches and repeats) Backset: Similar position as front set except hips go forward and back lines up with arms or arches Self toss & back set to partner, self-set & back set to partner

SETTING “QUICKS” (1s, As, 3s, slides)
Setters need the mentality that they are giving (delivering) the ball to the quick hitters instead of just setting the ball in the air somewhere. 1s, Back 1s (As), 31s:Setters start with ball in hands above head, hitter approaches first, setter sets (“gives”) hitter the ball. Progress to tossed ball to setter, to passed ball to setterset ball tossed from coach to approaching attackers. *9s: These are usually low backsets that the hitter must time. The hitter takes her first step of 3 step approach as setter touches the ball.
