2. Why do we choose to go on a residential?
An opportunity for children to experience taster sessions in a whole range of sports that we are unable to offer at school – maybe even reveal hidden talents.
Children are often pushed out of their comfort zone and develop self esteem and confidence when they achieve something they didn’t think they could do.
A chance to develop independence, survival skills and resilience.
A chance to be part of a team, solve problems and develop listening and communication skills.
Preparation for further residential visits.

Returning to school - 3pm, Thursday 21st July 2017

4. Staffing Staffing for children of 6-8 is: 1 adult - 8 children

5. Possible Timetable for the Visit – Day One
10.30am Depart school
12.00pm Arrive at centre
Briefing about the Centre including fire safety, domestic routines etc.
12.30pm Lunch (packed lunch required)
1.00pm Activity
3.30pm Activity
5.30pm Evening Meal
6.30pm Camp fire/team games/talent show
9.00pm Reflection on the day/hot chocolate
9.30pm Bedtime

7.30am Wake up, change and pack
8.30am Breakfast

12noon Lunch
1pm Team games/problem solving
2pm Depart
