1 Intro Iona Hi everybody and welcome to The Bathgate Academy Charity Concert. As most of you know the aim of you all being here tonight is to raise as much money as we can for The Motor Neurone Disease Association and The British Heart foundation. But along with raising money for these two amazing charities, we would also like to dedicate tonight to remembering the life of Mr Collins, a former teacher from this school who sadly passed away recently.

2 Intro Nicole As you may have noticed on your way in we are selling raffle tickets and cakes, with all the money raised going to the charities. The raffle will be drawn shortly, so if you haven’t got your tickets yet, be quick! A stall is currently running at the back of the hall where you can purchase a strip for £1! There is also a silent auction running for a signed Hearts football which has been signed by all the recent members of the team so if you would like to bid on that you can do so at any point during the concert.

4 The Cairnpapple Quartet Nicole
Performing – The Phantom of the Oprah and Time is Running Out by Muse Iona Quilter and Laura Macintosh – Violin Hannah Bain – Viola Hannah Fisher – Cello Played as a group at The Scottish Parliament and other venues in West Lothian

5 Lewis Watt Iona Singing – Riptide by Vance Joy and a mashup of A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and I Wont Give Up by Jason Mraz S2 Pupil from Bathgate Academy Participates in lots of school based music activities such as Bathgate Academies school show-We Will Rock You that is currently being rehearsed and the Academies yearly talent show competition

6 The Sad Moons Nicole Performing – One of there own Songs; Quentin and Digsaw by The Wyches Monica Anderson – Vocals and Guitar Chloe Duenas – Vocals and Bass Robbie Broome – Guitar Jamie Walker – Drums Only been together for just over a month This is there second gig together

7 Break Iona We are now going to have a short five minute break so if you would like to buy anymore raffle tickets or cakes then now is your chance. The silent auction is also still running so if there are any Jambo’s in audience make sure you put a bid in.

8 Chloe Yeung Nicole Singing – Someone like you by Adele
S4 pupil at Gracemount High School Trains at Elite Studios and Pauline Quirks Drama Academy Last year she created her own memorial show for one of her friends who sadly passed away

9 Five Strings Iona Performing – Roll away your stone and Lovers Eye both by Mumford and Sons Ewan Aitken – Vocal, Guitar, Tambourine, Drum Joel Murray – Banjo Pupils from Inveralmond Done lots of charity events for The Live or Life Foundation Do lots of busking in Edinburgh and Livingston CD’s can be bought from the main entrance

10 Kieran Wilson Nicole Singing – Stars from Les Miserable
S5 Pupil from Liberton High School Trains at The MGA performing arts academy Has performed down in London at the West End Was in a UK tour of Oliver with Cameron Mackintosh who is the producer of many hit musicals such as Les Miserable, The Phantom of the Opera

11 End of Raffle Nicole We are no longer selling raffle tickets as we are shortly going to be announcing the winners after this next act.

12 Heart Cannon Iona Performing – One of their own own songs – Caffeine and Born to be wild by Steppenwolf Jake Lafferty – Drums David Dalling – Bass Sam Smith – Vocals Callum Anderson – Guitar Inspirations – Classic Rock Bands – Led Zeppelin, Rush, Red Hot Chilli Pepper, The Beatles

13 Raffle Nicole Now its time to announce the numbers for all our lucky winners of the raffle. If your number is called out then put your hand up and one our volunteers will deliver your prize …………………….

Singing Starships by Nicki Manaj and Titanium By David Guetta Emily Lynch – Vocal Monica Anderson – Vocal and Guitar Both S4 Pupil from Bathgate Academy Emily came second in last years talent show Monica plays football for Glasgow City

15 Chloe Yeung and Kieran Wilson Nicole
Dancing to – Take Me To Church by Hozier Both performed earlier on in the night Competed together in a choreography competition where they came 2nd Came second at a talent competition where they sang a duet

16 Heather Gourdie Iona Singing – Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez and Wings by Birdy S5 Pupil from Bathgate Academy Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Just finishes playing the role of the witch in a production of the wizard of oz

17 Simply Auburn Nicole Performing – A Little Bit Stronger by Sarah Evens and a mashup of thinking out loud by Ed Sheeran and I’m not the only one by Sam Smith Naomi Conway – Vocals Aidan Mccusker – Guitar Ewen Allan – Drums Jordan Kerr – Bass

18 Thanks Iona Well that’s all we have for you tonight but we'd like to thank a few people before you go. We'd like to thank all the acts included in tonight’s concert: Julieann Wallace, The Cairnpapple Quartet, Lewis Watt, The Sad Moons, Chloe Yeung, Five Strings, Kieran Wilson, Heart Cannon, Emily Lynch, Monica Anderson, Heather Gourdie and Simply Auburn. Ellie, Emilio, Andrew, Louise, Ailsa and Sharon working backstage. Kyla and Christie on Sound and Alec on lights. A big thank you to David Millar who kindly gave us the Football which was auctioned earlier on in the night. Also a big thank you to all the teachers that came along to help tonight.

19 Thanks Nicole And finally we would like to say a massive thank you to you guys for coming along. We hope you enjoyed all of the acts tonight and obviously although this was a fun thing to do it is also for a very important cause so we would like to say an even bigger thank you to everyone who donated, it really does mean a lot.
