3. OBJECTIVE
To understand the Person of The Holy Spirit.

4. INTRODUCTION
God is a spirit, God manifested himself in three persons- namely the father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
When one accepts Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit dwells within him. However, one does not have the fullness of the spirit until he experiences the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues is an overflow of the spirit. Acts 19:1-7
The human spirit when it comes to the things of God depends on the Holy Spirit to function effectively in the natural realm (Job 32:8)

5. WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

6. HIS PERSONALITY PROOF
He is not an influence or a power, but can influence and is powerful (Acts 1:8, 10:38)
He is not water, fire or wind or a dove although they express different aspects of his personality
He has intellect, will and emotions (Eph. 4:30, Rom 8:27)

7. HIS WORK IN OUR LIFE Represents all that Jesus is to us (John 14:16)
Convicts of sin (John 16:8)
Reveals Jesus to us (John 15:26)
Teaches us all things (John 14:26)
Helps us to pray (Rom.8:26-27)
Shows us things to come (John 16:13-14)
Reveals our inheritance ( 1Cor. 2:12)
Give us power for service (Acts 1:8)

8. HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM (ACTS 2:1-4)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit is receiving the Holy Spirit and it is meant for all Christians (Acts 19:1-6, 10:44-46)
The experience give us boldness and power for witness (Acts 1:8)
It makes prayer more effective (Rom.8:26-27)
Make the release of the gifts of the spirit possible (ICor.12:9-11)
Enables better understanding of the word (John 16:13)

9. THE PROMISE OF THE BAPTISM
Pouring out the spirit – Joel 2:28-29.
Though this scripture does not say, ‘speaking in tongues’ it is implied
Proof of the Holy Spirit - Act.2:4, 10:45.
All 120 people in the room including women spoke in tongues.

10. HOW TO RECEIVE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM
You must be born again to qualify for it (Act.19:1)
Ask the father to give you the Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13)
Receive the Holy Spirit by faith and thank God (Mark 11:13)
Get someone who is filled already to lay hands on you (Act.19:46)
Open your mouth and begin to speak in tongues (Act.2:4)

11. CONCLUSION Have you received the Holy Spirit?
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is something more than salvation. The power of the Spirit’s baptism aids Christians in daily living and in their work with God.
