1 A Kindergarten 2010 Christmas

2 Group 1 - Welcome to our Kindergarten Holiday Show!
- The students have practiced and practiced and are ready to go! - Clap your hands, tap your feet, snap your fingers to the beat. Everybody sing along - while we sing you Christmas songs!

4 Frosty the Snowman String says: -Now we sing a seasonal favorite about a special snowman. -Enjoy thoughts of snow, but around here you’ll have to use your imagination.

5 Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul
With a corn cob pipe and a button nose And two eyes made out of coal. Frosty the Snowman is a fairy tale they say He was made of snow but the children know How he came to life one day.

6 There must have been some magic
In that old silk hat they found For when they placed it on his head He began to dance around! Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be And the children say he could laugh and play Just the same as you and me

7 Thumpity thump thump… Look at Frosty go Thumpity thump thump… over the hills of snow

8 String reads: - Countries all over the world celebrate the holidays in many different ways.. - Jewish children have fun celebrating Hanukkah for 8 days! - The dreydl game is a fun game for everyone to know… We brought you some today to put in our show!

9 And when it’s dry and ready, Then dreidel I shall play!
4. My Dreydel I have a little dreidel I made it out of clay And when it’s dry and ready, Then dreidel I shall play! Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel Now dreidel I shall play!

10 (dreydels spin while kids yell out) Hay! Nun! Shin! Gimel!
Dreydel! Hanukkah! Let’s Play! (dreydls stop)

11 And when it’s dry and ready, Then dreidel I shall play!
I have a little dreidel I made it out of clay And when it’s dry and ready, Then dreidel I shall play! Oh dreidel, dreidel, dreidel Now dreidel I shall play!

12 Mrs. String reads: - Children in the United States watch for reindeer on Christmas Eve. - There’s something about a flying reindeer that makes us all believe… - the magical story of the night Santa was in trouble… and had to call his favorite reindeer on the double!

13 5. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer You know Dasher and Dancer and
Prancer and Vixen Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all?

14 Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it You would even say it glows! All of the other reindeer… Used to laugh and call him names They never let poor Rudolph Join in any reindeer games!

15 Then one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say
“Rudolph with your nose so bright… Won’t you guide my sleigh tonight? Then how the reindeer loved him! As they shouted out with glee… Rudolph the red nosed reindeer You’ll go down in history!

16 Jingle Bells String reads:
How exciting to think about Santa and his reindeer! What fun it would be to take a ride on a sleigh! What fun it is to sing this time of year!

17 Dashing through the snow On a one horse open sleigh
Over the fields we go… Laughing all the way! Bells on bobtails ring Making spirits bright What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight, oh!

Jingle all the way! Oh what fun it is to ride on a one-horse Open sleigh, hey! Open sleigh!

21 Mrs. String reads: - A special baby is the reason for the season! – His birth had long ago been foretold; Kings from afar brought him gifts of gold. The angels came, the shepherds too; Good news they bring to me and you!

Go tell it on the mountain Over the hills and everywhere That Jesus Christ is born

23 Mrs. String reads: - The end of our show is here at last - Didn’t know it would go this fast! - Can’t let you go without one more song - We wish you a merry Christmas; won’t you please sing along?

and a happy new year!

25 Now bring us some figgy pudding… And bring it out here.
For we love our figgy pudding… So bring some out here. We won’t go until we get some…
