Plot Plays tend to explore consequences rather than events
“The plot…is simply a pretext for an exploration of character.” Lorrie Moore. Plays tend to explore consequences rather than events Emotional plots – deal with the emotional consequences of events Suspense plot – keeps the audience engaged and justifies the conflict happening. Its purpose is to move the emotional plot forward. Suspense plots tend to hinge on practical, physical issues and are kept in the background.
