4. Hardware: the collection of physical parts of a computer system.
Hardware is Physical: It's "Real," Sometimes Breaks, and Eventually Wears Out

5. Software:
a generic term for organized collections of computer data and instructions
Software is broken into two major categories:
System Software: provides the basic non-task-specific functions of the computer
Application Software: used by users to accomplish specific tasks
Software is Virtual: It Can be Copied, Changed, and Destroyed

6. Firmware:
Software instructions residing in non-volatile memory chips that hold their content without power. Firmware is found on computer motherboards to hold hardware settings and booting data
Firmware is Virtual: It's software specifically designed for a piece of hardware

7. Non-volatile: Volatile: retains data when power is shut off
