13 Homework Grading Homework is graded on completeness/effort, not necessarily on correctness. Homework is checked at the beginning of class. If you do not have your homework and the homework log sheet out when I come by, you may not be given credit! 10 points for fully attempting every problem on homework 5 points for more attempting more than half, less than 100% of homework 0 points for anything less than 50%

14 Other Policies Seating Assignments
Be in your seats at the beginning of class AND at the end of class (no lining up at my door!!!) Since this is a year-long class, we will mix it up periodically. Restroom: You may not go 10 minutes before or after any bell or during the initial lecture. Tardy policy: If you are tardy without a pass and have not been swept, then I will hand you a sweep form. Behavior – Just be a good, respectful kid!

15 Honor Code You alone are responsible for your own learning.
Cheating is unacceptable and will not be tolerated This includes copying homework or telling another class what is on a test!). Consequences: Your parents/guardians will be contacted, A discipline referral will be submitted Zero on the assignment. Since cheating sometimes involves 2 or more people, all complicit participants receive the same consequences. Do not do anything to make me suspect that you are not being honest.

16 Sports-related/Field Trip Absences
These are excused activities and they are a very important component of your high school experience. However, it is your responsibility to get your assignments prior to the day of the activity, and to have it prepared for the next school day that you return. Failure to do so will result with a zero grade.

17 Missed Quizzes/Tests I announce all tests and quizzes several days before the actual test, usually with 1 day of review prior to the test. If you miss the review day, you are still expected to take the test on the announced day. If you were here for the review, but missed the test, you are expected to take the test when you return.

18 Pop Quizzes/Extra Credit
Pop quizzes – Pop quizzes cannot be made-up. They will simply be omitted. Extra Credit – Some assignments (test/quizzes/class work) will have extra credit problems. I will also award a 5 point bonus coupon for each homework activity log with a grade of 100. I do not give extra credit opportunities on an individual basis!!!
