POSITIONS AVAILABLE: One or more temporary, part-time lecturers to fill a POOL from which instructors will be selected for fall, winter, spring and summer quarters. RANK AND SALARY: Lecturer. The Department of Educational Leadership seeks part-time lecturers to teach courses in school law, school finance and supervision and staff development in schools. In addition, the department seeks part-time lecturers to supervise students in fieldwork sites. Doctoral degree preferred, but Master's degree acceptable. Candidates must have relevant professional experience. Courses may take place at the Hayward or Concord Campuses or as fully on-line courses. EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP DOCTORAL PROGRAM Position Number: 14-15 EDLD PTL-01
The CSUEB doctoral program, Educational Leadership for Social Justice (ELSJ), is compiling a pool of applicants for possible temporary teaching positions for one or more quarters of the current academic year. Openings will be filled from the pool of applicants before the start of each quarter. Teaching assignments at CSU East Bay may include courses any CSUEB offering site including the Hayward and Concord campuses. Faculty teach courses, supervise onsite residencies, and advise students in various capacities. Course descriptions: The ELSJ program seeks to provide school leaders and applied research curriculum with instructors who bring expertise as school, system, or agency leaders and who can support doctoral student research. The doctoral faculty and students are committed to challenging systematic inequities in schools and other educational settings. Direct inquires to contact Minimum Degree Requirement: Qualified applicants must have an earned doctorate in Education Leadership or another relevant field, and experience teaching in graduate programs. The Department of Educational Psychology seeks part-time lecturers to teach courses in MFT, P.P.S. credential, or special education programs, and /or supervise students in fieldwork sites or student learning. Doctoral degree preferred, but Master's degree acceptable, in addition to relevant professional experience and credentials or licenses. DEPARTMENT OF KINESIOLOGY Position Number 14-15 KIN PTL-01
The Department of Kinesiology periodically employs a limited number of temporary, part-time faculty to teach courses within the department (lecture and activity classes). A PhD or EdD is desired to teach upper division and graduate courses. A Master's degree is required to teach lecture based lower division courses. A Master's degree is preferred, though not required, to teach physical activity classes. The Department of Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism is seeking part-time lecturers to teach in the areas of Recreation/Leisure, Adventure Recreation, Hospitality, Recreation Therapy and Wellness. The position may also require supervision of fieldwork and intern students. In addition to teaching, all faculty have advising responsibilities and must assist the department with curriculum development. The Department of Teacher Education seeks part-time lecturers to teach courses and supervise student teachers. Courses may be scheduled at either the Hayward Hills or Concord Campuses. All applicants must have a Master's degree in education or a related field and at least three years of full-time teaching experience in K-12 settings.
