4 CARBOMED 940 USES GELLING AGENT FOR AQUEOUS AND HYDROALCOHOLIC GELS.
THICKENER FOR SURFACTANTS FORMULATIONS. STABILIZER FOR EMULSIONS AND SUSPENSIONS.

5 CARBOMED 940 PROPERTIES NON IRRITATING, NON SENSITIZING.
EFFECTIVE AT VERY LOW CONCENTRATIONS. CREATES VERY THICK GELS AT VERY LOW CONCENTRATIONS (UP TO 1%). COST EFFECTIVE. PERFECT SPREADABILITY AND PLEASANT TOUCH OF FILMS ON SKIN.

6 CARBOMED 940 PROPERTIES COMPATIBILITY WITH MOST SUBSTANCES USED IN COSMETICS AND DERMO-PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTS. EXCELLENT GELLING, DISPERDING AND SUSPENDING POWER. POSSIBILITY OF PRODUCING GELS, OTHER THAN IN WATER, IN ORGANIC SOLVENTS TOO. GEL STABILITY IN TIME AND TO THE CHANGES OF TEMPERATURE.

7 CARBOMED 940 HOW TO USE CARBOMED 940?
CARBOMED 940 IS ACIDIC AND WHEN DISPERSED IN WATER DOES NOT PRODUCE ANY REMARKABLE THICKENING. MUST BE NEUTRALIZED WITH APPROPRIATE BASE (SODIUM, POTASSIUM, AMMONIUM HYDROXIDE OR AMINES…) TO FORM A SALT. VISCOSITY OF GELS VARIES WITH pH: OPTIMUM OPERATING pH: 6 – 9. SUGGESTED NEUTRALIZATION AROUND pH 7.
