Course Description:
This course focuses on three main areas:
1. An overview of the structure and operation of the legal system in the United States
2. Criminal Law: an in-depth look at the criminal justice system
3. The Litigation Process: the fundamentals of trial procedure, culminating in a mock trial. 9

15. LPS II – Civil and Constitutional Law
Course Description:
This course is divided into two sections. The first semester students will study civil litigation including tort law and family law.
The second semester covers consumer education law and constitutional rights and responsibilities by analyzing a number of landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases. 15

Course Description:
The course investigates the many ways in which psychology interacts with the American criminal justice system. Students will become familiar with the major theories of the causes of crime, fundamental techniques of investigative procedures and evidence analysis, and the relationship between forensic science and criminal investigations. 28
