1 X-Cid® 2

2 X-Cid® 2 The automatic pre-sterilization cleaning device:

3 X-Cid® 2 The risk of infection in the dental office:
Ensuring asepsis and controlling the risk of infection are of increasing concern to health professionals and patients alike. Instruments are the “Achilles heel” of the chain of asepsis. Only instruments that are clean and dry can be properly sterilized.

4 X-Cid® 2 During dental procedures, instruments come into contact with saliva, blood, and other organic materials that may be contaminated with pathogens such as Virus. Bacteria. Mycobacteria. Yeast.

5 X-Cid® 2 Definitions: Viruses Bacteria
Biological entity that replicate itself only by infecting a host cell. Bacteria Unicellular microorganism without nucleus and organelles. Several pathogenic bacterium species cause infectious diseases. There are ten time more bacterial cells than human cells in the human body.

6 X-Cid® 2 Definitions: Mycobacteria Yeast
All Mycobacteria share a characteristic cell wall. Because of this cell wall, the organisms are hardy, they can survive long exposure to acids, alkalis, detergents, oxidative bursts, lysis by complement and antibiotics which naturally leads to antibiotic resistance. They have extremely long reproductive (about 20 hours). Yeast Unicellular or multicellular fungi able to ferment animal or vegetable organic matter.

8 X-Cid® 2 The cycle: Pre-disinfection (15 min): All internal and external instrument parts are pre-disinfected by flushing X-Cidol®, a detergent-disinfectant, through slowly rotating instruments. The internal parts of handpieces are rotated slowly and constantly (MICRO-MEGA patent), thus avoiding the need to dismantle them prior to pre-disinfection and cleaning. Rinsing (2 min 15 s): The slowly rotating instruments are rinsed with demineralized water to remove lime deposits. Cleaning (5 min 30 s): The inside and outside of the rotating instruments are cleaned with X-Cidol®. This phase complements the pre-disinfection phase and eliminates all remaining microorganisms, leaving the instruments totally clean.

9 X-Cid® 2 The cycle: Rinsing (2 min 15 s): The rotating instruments are rinsed with demineralized water. Drying (2 min): Once they have been perfectly cleaned and rinsed, the instruments are dried using compressed air. Lubricating (4 min 15 s): A special oil is applied using a spray can while the instruments are rotating. Excess lubricant is removed using compressed air. This phase can be deactivated by the user if desired.

11 X-Cid® 2 Product reservoir. Reservoir TSU Oil. Keypad
A cycle start button. Three buttons to select the desired stations. LED indicators (power on, stations selected, malfunction). Reservoir TSU Oil. Equipement Compressed air connection (1) Electrical connection (2) Fluid evacuation (3) Product reservoir. Treatment tank With a window. Two types of couplings (contra-angles, handpieces or turbines). Dimensions: H=47cm /L=40cm /P=23cm. Weight: 8 kg.

12 X-Cid® 2 X-Cidol® 2 is a detergent-disinfectant that acts as a
Bactericide. Mycobactericide. Fungicide. Virucide (HIV 1, PRV, BVDV and Herpes Simplex). Complies with the following standards: NF EN 1040, NF EN 1275, NF EN 13624, NF EN 13727, NF EN 14561, NF EN 14562, NF EN Contains no aldehyde or glyoxal. X-Cidol® 2 can be also used in soaking trays for soiled dental instruments.

13 X-Cid® 2 Combination: X-Cid®2 eliminates 96% of initial contamination inside instruments. Tests have shown that X-Cid®2 combined with X-Cidol®2 reaches an efficiency level of over 6-log reduction of following microorganisms Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Staphylococcus aureus. Streptococcus salivarius. Candida albicans.

14 X-Cid® 2 Advantages: Pre-disinfects, cleans, rinses, dries and lubricates rotating instruments in less than 30 minutes using X-Cidol®2 (detergent/disinfectant). Saves time by treating each instrument individually. Extends the service life of your instrument by removing organic materials that can harden during sterilization and damage your instruments.

15 X-Cid® 2 Advantages: No dismantling of instruments required
The internal structures of the instrument are constantly rotating. Can be used in any dental office (flat surface or wall). X-Cid 2® is compatible with all brands of handpieces, contra-angles and turbines. Eliminates the risk of cross-contamination.
