Welcome To Westbreen A 3/4K introduction to the best school in Melbourne!

Our School Buildings This is the Early Years Centre (or EYC). It is our brand new school, and was finished just last term! Grades Foundation to 2 have their classrooms in here. This is the Senior Years Centre (or SYC). It is located near the basketball courts. Grades 3 to 6 have their classrooms in here.

The Big w and bike rack The big W is near the hall. You wait here at the end of the day for your mum or dad. The Big W stands for our school name… WESTBREEN! If you ride to school you put your bike on the bike rack. It is near the West Street gate, next to The Big W.
4
Our School Hall The Hall is a big space that we use for many different activities. We have assembly, Gymnastics and Italian day in the hall. Music classes are there and sometimes we get to see plays in there. Assembly is really fun, we sing Advance Australia Fair, present pupil of the week, do nude food and find out which house got the most points for the week. Mr Cerra tells us about how the week is going and one class presents their work.
5
Water fountains The water foundations are located on both sides of the Senior Years Centre, on the side of the Hall. There are now some new ones next to the staff room, near the new art/science building. Lots of people like to go to the new ones.
6
Boundaries The boundaries are located wherever construction is and along the fences of the school. Children are not allowed to go near them, so that we can stay safe and have fun at school.
7
Junior and senior Playgrounds
The senior playground is near the footy and soccer field . The 3 to 6s can only play on the senior playground . The grade Foundation to 2s can play on the junior playground. The junior playground is near the SYC. The rules for playing on the playgrounds are: No throwing bark. No climbing up the slide. No playing tag. Be careful of others playing near you.

Football and Soccer Fields
This our football field. It is in the back corner of our school, next to West Street. You need to be careful when playing football, not to run into other students who are also playing on the oval. Our soccer field is on the same oval as our football field but runs at right angles to the football field. Lots of games happen at once during our breaks so you need to be careful of other people when playing soccer or football.
9
The Basketball court The basketball court is pretty new at Westbreeen, that’s why people like to play there a lot. It is located in front of the toilets. Mr.Cerra made days for students to play on the court. Before the basketball court was finished there were two soccer fields! The place were the basketball court is now there was a soccer field which students didn’t like to play much on. We play games on it like: kanga cricket, basketball and soccer usually for practice. The 5/6’s are very good at scoring because they’re one of the tallest people in the school. The whole school loves it !!!

DAYS FOR BASKETBALL Different Grades get to use the Basketball and Netball courts on different days. The days for the basketball court are: Monday : 3/4’s Tuesday : 5/6’s Wednesday : F – 2’s Thursday : 3/4’s Friday : 5/6’s

If someone is bothering you, making you feel unsafe, hurting or bullying you, you should go find a Yard Duty Teacher and let them know about your problem.
