4 HOMEWORK Given on a daily basis
Always due the following day unless told otherwise Please bring your child’s Fairmount School folder to school with them EVERY DAY. Please have a quiet place for your child to complete their homework – they should have a pencil, scissors, crayons, and glue.

5 Independence Please help your child become independent by having them complete certain tasks by themselves. You can do this by teaching them to: Button/snap their pants and fasten belts. Put on their coats & zipper/snap/button them. Tie their shoes. Complete simple step directions. Example: --Put your coat on and get your backpack. --Put your PJs on, brush your teeth and get into bed.

6 BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT Each student starts on “Ready to learn.” If a student is caught misbehaving or not following directions, they move their stick down. Consequences will follow. If a student is caught doing something great and above expected behavior, they can move their stick up.

7 The pom pom jar is a CLASS/GROUP effort.
The class earns 1-4 pom poms if they listen and follow directions. Once the pom pom jar is filled up, the class gets a “surprise” that I choose.
