1. Determine the name of the corporation. 2. Draft and file the articles of incorporation. 3. Appoint the board of directors. 4. Draft the bylaws and conflict of interest policy. 5. Take the initial board actions at a board meeting.

6. Obtain an employer identification number (EIN). 7. File the initial registration from with the California Attorney General’s Registry of Charitable Trusts. 8. File the Statement of Information with the Secretary of State. 9. Apply for federal tax exemption with IRS and receive a determination letter. 10.
