Joshua 1:1-4: Command of God
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. Arise Go Unto the Land God has blessings for all of us (his children) We just need to Arise, Go and take hold of it. Moses’ legacy rested in Joshua’s faith (v3) God blessing is huge! (v4)

Solomon and God’s Command: Ecc 12:13-14
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Solomon who lived a full life, tried and experienced all things in the world made this conclusion

Joshua 1:5-6 Promises of God
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. I will be with thee I will not fail thee nor fokesake thee God’s commands are backed-up by God’s promises Many people fail us, but God will not To follow God requires strength and courage backed up by God’s presence

Paul on God’s Promise: Rom 8:38,39
38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. God will be not abandon us

Joshua 1:7-9 Prosperity of God
7Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Focus on God’s word Forget not God’s word We have a lot of distractions these days God’s words get lost in the our daily life Prosperity from God in our lives comes from focusing and following God’s command
8
Roman 8:31,32 31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? We should have faith in God, He is for us! If God gave us His most precious gift (Christ), would not God give us all other things? And if God has not give us certain things, do you think God want to cheat us? Of course not

In Summary When God gives us a ”new Job”
we should obey His Command we should depend on His Promises we will be blessed by His Prosperity Are you being challenged with a job that God wants you to do? Do you have fear and doubt about taking that first step of faith? The encouragement God provided to Joshua in Joshua 1:1-9 can easily apply to us all.
