As I connected with the scientist from this organization, he and I organized an interactive presentation with the grade 4 and 5 students at St. Alfred C.E.S. in Mississauga.
He brought real furs, pelts, skulls and other animal items in order to teach the students about animals and their habitats.

I participated and encouraged a young group of my colleagues from York to organize a run from York University to Union Station in Toronto.

The run raised over two thousand dollars which went to help make sandwiches to feed the homeless in Toronto. The group has grown into an organization called Deedz which serves the local Toronto community throughout the entire year.
